Description

This feature cannot be obtained by expending Aethyrpoints. Martialists and Spellfighters automatically gain this feature and new Martial Maneuvers as their Aethyrflame Intensity level increases.

When you gain this feature, you learn maneuvers that are fueled by special dice called superiority dice.

Maneuvers. You can learn some maneuvers for free (without expending Aethyrpoints) as you gain levels as a Martialist or Spellfighter and additional maneuvers can be obtained by expending 10 Aethyrpoints.

Many maneuvers enhance an attack in some way. You can only use one martial maneuver when you make an attack without special permission from the GM. The GM may optionally allow additional martial maneuvers to be made on the same attack at the expense of additional Combat Superiority Dice.

Each time you learn new maneuvers, you can also replace one maneuver you know with a different one.

Superiority Dice. You have four superiority dice, which are d8s. A superiority die is expended when you use it. You regain all of your expended superiority dice when you finish a short or long rest.

You gain another superiority die when your Aethyrflame Intensity reaches level 7, and one more at level 15.

Saving Throws. Some of your maneuvers require your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver’s effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:

Maneuver save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice)

Improved Combat Superiority

When your Aethyrflame Intensity reaches level 10, your superiority dice turn into d10s. At Aethyrflame Intensity level 18, they turn into d12s.

Relentless

Once your Aethyrflame Intensity reaches level 15, when you roll initiative and have no superiority dice remaining, you regain one superiority die.
