Short Description
An empire of humanoid ant-folk who live in highly structured, hive-like, subterranean colonies governed by matriarchal leaders who influence simple-minded male drones to support their empire across their many subterranean and interlinked coloniesFull Description
Formians are highly organized, ant-like humanoids who dwell deep in the subterranean tunnels that riddle the lands like vast, complex webs. Their colonies operate as singular entities—highly structured and rigorously maintained by countless drones who follow the guiding force of their matriarchal rulers.

Nature and Personality
Formians possess an unwavering devotion to their hive, a collective consciousness where each individual's goals and aspirations are integrated into the needs of the greater whole. They are practical, efficient, and virtually unyielding when it comes to the orders of their matriarchs. Although they may seem emotionless to other races, they do experience a form of collective joy, sorrow, and determination that is channeled through their hive-minded link.
Culture and Governance
Formian society is divided into a rigid hierarchy, with each individual having a designated role. At the pinnacle is the Queen, the supreme matriarch whose pheromonal signals dictate the mood, direction, and collective will of the entire colony. Below her are the female warrior-castes and specialized workers, who manage various tasks from resource gathering to colony defense. Lastly, male drones, the simplest in mind and function, perform the most basic duties under the influence of their matriarchal leaders.
Living Arrangements
Formian colonies are sprawling underground complexes, marked by their intricate tunnel designs and grand chambers that serve as both living quarters and workspaces. Each colony is self-sufficient, but they often interconnect with others to form a large, overarching empire.
Relations with Other Races
Formians view other races through the lens of utility: potential allies or hindrances to the growth and prosperity of the hive. They are not inherently hostile, but their collective will and the directives of their matriarchs guide their actions, which may not always align with the goals of outsiders.
