Description
Your intense study, exposure, or innate talent for countering the arcane arts has granted you the unique ability to tap into the very fabric of magic, nullifying and manipulating its energy. This has resulted in your capacity to wield a pool of specialized energy called Nullification Points.
Note: This feature (and related anti-magic abilities) can be acquired without consuming Aethyrpoints by Spellcasters and Spellfighters when they reach a certain level. This feature can also be purchased by anyone (including Martials) by spending Aethyrpoints.
Nullification Points: Your Aethyrflame Intensity level determines the number of Nullification Points you have, as shown in the table below. Spending Nullification Points allows you to activate your anti-magic abilities. You start with all your Nullification Points at the beginning of the day, and you must finish a long rest before you regain expended points.
Nullification Points per Level
| Aethyrflame Intensity Levels | Nullification Points (Spellcaster) | Nullification Points (Spellfighter/Martial) |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1-2 | 2 | 1 |
| Level 3-4 | 4 | 2 |
| Level 5-6 | 6 | 3 |
| Level 7-8 | 8 | 4 |
| Level 9-10 | 10 | 5 |
| Level 11-12 | 12 | 6 |
| Level 13-14 | 14 | 7 |
| Level 15-16 | 16 | 8 |
| Level 17-18 | 18 | 9 |
| Level 19-20 | 20 | 10 |
Using Anti-Magic Abilities: Each anti-magic ability has a nullification point cost associated with it. You must expend the required nullification points to activate the ability. If you do not have enough nullification points left, you cannot activate that ability.
Regenerating Nullification Points: Many Anti-Magic features can regenerate some or all of the nullification points expended to use them. For example, every time you successfully disrupt a spell being cast using Antimagic - Counterspell, you regain 1 nullification point for every 2 levels of the spell disrupted. This represents the raw magical energy you've nullified being captured for future use. The most nullification points you can regain in this manner between short or long rests is equal to your proficiency bonus.
Learning Anti-Magic Abilities: When you first gain the Aethyr Nullification feature, you start with Antimagic - Detect Magic and Antimagic - Identify along with one anti-magic ability slot. You gain more anti-magic ability slots as you gain levels, as shown in the table below. To fill these slots, you must obtain an Anti-Magic Aethyr Feature that you meet the requirements for by expending the required Aethyr Points or by acquiring one from your Aethyrflame Technique Levels. Each time your Aethyrflame Intensity Level increases, you may refund the Aethyr Points expended to obtain an anti-magic feature and obtain another one.
