The Church of the Advancements
The Church of the Advancements honors the constant march of time and change through the mortal realm. Its faithful look to the gods who oversee the nature of change and the fates of mortals, and they see every ending as the start of something else.
Deities Venerated
Section titled “Deities Venerated”- Dhogen the Changebringer, Prime Deity of Change and patron of the Church, whose realm is Shift.
- Braedyr the Timekeeper, Divine of Time.
- Dyadonnis the Fatespinner, Divine of Fate, who also belongs to the Chancery of the Fortunes.
Tenets
Section titled “Tenets”The faithful hold that nothing stays as it is, and that resisting change only makes it harsher when it comes. Adapting is a virtue, and so is preparing for what comes next.
Clergy and Rites
Section titled “Clergy and Rites”Clergy tend to mark the turning points in a life or a community, such as births, comings of age, new ventures and departures. Their rites look forward rather than back, and observances often fall on the change of seasons or years.
Holy Sites
Section titled “Holy Sites”Shrines to the Advancements are often found where change is plain to see: at crossroads, harbors and the edges of growing cities.
