Heritages (Races)
A heritage is a people of shared descent, what other traditions might call a race. Geminaea’s heritages are many and varied, and each traces a line of ancestry back through the peoples it diverged from. The cause of that divergence is part of every heritage’s story: some peoples were shaped by the regions they settled, others by diet, by magic, by mixed ancestry, or, on Vitaea, by the Great Awakening.
Heritages are grouped by origin. Those of Aradaea descend from the planet’s first humans, and many share a distant kinship. Those of Vitaea come from very different animal lineages, awakened to sapience under the guidance of the Sylvari. A third group gathers the peoples who fit neither world’s pattern.
Each heritage page gives a short account of the people, and most link to an entry in the rules compendium listing the heritage’s features for play.
