Xulldrin: Cavern of the Lost Soldier

• (The X’lyl family have been the pre-eminent house of the Drow kingdom of Erel’hei Cinlu for generations but a successful coup by one of the lesser houses lead to the death of Xulldrin and Xullsinstra’s parents and sparked a bloody civil war. After a major defeat the X’lyl forces were dashed and routed, Xullsinstra was captured and imprisoned, and Xulldrin was left for dead on the battlefield. Days after the battle Xulldrin crawled from the carnage in a fugue, drawn by mysterious force which inspired a desperate hope in his heart. This pull brought him to an obscure cavern hidden deep through the recessed cracked of the Umbrage where Xulldrin found the sword of Xenyra, an Archon of War & Retribution who saw in Xulldrin an opportunity to return to presence in the mortal world. Xulldrin accepted the Archon’s barter and wielded the sword, becoming the avatar of her wrath for long enough to bring devastating retribution down upon his enemies, free his sister, and re-establish the X’lyl house to its prominent position of power. This tale became legend across The Umbrage and the cavern of Xulldrin’s salvation was given the name Cavern of the Lost Soldier)
