Elden-Haku (Half-Elves)
The Elden-Haku are the half-elves of Aradaea, people of mixed elven and human descent. An elf of any heritage and a human of any heritage may have a half-elf child, and half-elves have been part of Aradaea’s peoples for some 5,000 years.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”Half-elves are of ordinary humanoid build, around five and a half feet tall and about 125 pounds. Their skin spans the natural range of tones, often mixed with tones from their elven side, their hair varies widely, and their elven features are light.
Society and Culture
Section titled “Society and Culture”There is no single half-elf homeland or culture. Most grow up within the community of one parent or the other, and many learn to move easily between both. That adaptability tends to show in a wide range of skills and in the languages they pick up.
Homeland
Section titled “Homeland”Half-elves are found wherever elves and humans live close together, from the lands of the Elden-Haea to the human kingdoms of Aradaea.
Life Cycle
Section titled “Life Cycle”A half-elf lives around 150 years, longer than most humans though far short of an elf.
Relations
Section titled “Relations”Their elven parent may come from the high, wood, dark or sea elves, and their human parent from any of the Haku-Haku. Most speak Elvish and Aethyrian Common, and often another language besides.
