Haku-Elda (Proto-Elves)
The Haku-Elda were the proto-elves, one of the Haku-Prota ancestral peoples that branched from Aradaea’s first humans. Magic set them apart some 200,000 years ago, and from them the elven lines of Aradaea eventually grew. The heritage itself is long extinct.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”Proto-elves were tall and lithe, around six feet in height yet only about 100 pounds. They had pointed ears and large eyes that served them well in dim light. Their hair was fine, straight and varied in color, they grew no beards, and their skin covered the natural range of tones.
Homeland
Section titled “Homeland”No single region is recorded as their home; they belong to Aradaea’s deep past as a whole. The History of Aradaea tells how elves, as they diverged from early humans, refined their handling of Aethyr to lengthen their lives and deepen their bond with the land.
Life Cycle
Section titled “Life Cycle”A proto-elf could expect to live around 500 years, a span that set them apart from the shorter-lived peoples around them. They were also notably swift on their feet.
Relations
Section titled “Relations”The Elden count the proto-elves among their forebears. The Elden-Eladen trace their line directly to them, as do the Gran-Elda, the firbolgs, whose other ancestors were giants. Their cousins among the proto-races were the Haku-Dweka, Haku-Greka and Haku-Grana. The proto-elves are not a playable heritage.
