Wolfen

The Wolfen are the wolf-folk of Vitaea, a Landborn heritage organized into territorial clans. They are fiercely loyal to their own communities, known for their intelligence, and slow to trust outsiders. Like the other beastfolk, they descend from the True Sylvari and gained sapience in the Great Awakening, some 40,000 years ago.

A Wolfen stands about six feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. They are furred in greys, whites, browns and blacks, with claws, a tail and eyes suited to low light.

Clan comes first. Each clan holds and defends its own territory, and the bond between packmates is strong enough that a clan’s howl can rally its members in a crisis.

Their home region is Tiscana, a tundra on the continent of Izora where the Wolfen live in highly organized strongholds. The Packs of Tiscana are counted among the civilizations of Vitaea.

A Wolfen lives around 100 years.

Most speak Aethyrian Common and Wolfish. Outsiders must usually earn a clan’s trust over time.

When a Wolfen’s Aethyr Knot ignites, their sharp senses and loyalty go with them into a life bound to the Aethyrweave.
