Haku-Kaladan (Kaladar)
The Haku-Kaladan are the Kaladar humans, one of the true human heritages of Aradaea. They descend from Aradaea’s first humans, and over some 40,000 years the region they settled shaped them into a distinct people.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”Kaladar humans stand around five and a half feet tall and weigh about 150 pounds. Their skin falls in the medium to darker tones, and their hair is thick, dark and straight, with beards common among men.
Society and Culture
Section titled “Society and Culture”Kaladar is a technocratic, mercantile society. Its people prize invention, scholarship and trade, and wealth and influence tend to follow those who command new technology. Competition is constant, between merchant houses as much as between cities.
Homeland
Section titled “Homeland”Their homeland is Kaladar, on the island-continent of Shezul, a republic of rival city-states bound together by the Concordance of Cities. Humans are the largest group in most of its districts, living alongside dwarves, halflings, half-elves and azurans. The republic has long faced Esken to the east and the Voltroyas kingdoms to the south.

Relations
Section titled “Relations”They share their ancestry with the other true humans, and the Haku-Veda of Esken are their closest and most troublesome neighbors. Most speak Kaladari as well as Aethyrian Common.
