Landships
Landships are large ground vehicles that carry crews, passengers and freight across open country. Where roads are poor and rails have not been laid, they serve the role that ships serve at sea: slow, heavy and dependable. They are part of Geminaea’s wider family of Aethyr-driven transport.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”A landship rolls on wheels or tracks driven by an Aethyr engine. Larger vessels draw on high-output fuel such as Myzium held in sealed cells, while smaller ones may run on flux cells. Their weight lets them push through rough ground, sand and scrub that would stop a cart.
Common Uses
Section titled “Common Uses”Landships haul ore, grain and trade goods between settlements, and some serve as rolling homes or markets for those who travel with them. Armored versions carry soldiers and supplies along contested frontiers.
Availability
Section titled “Availability”Building and fueling a landship is costly, so most are owned by merchant houses, mining concerns or armies rather than individuals. They are most common in industrial regions with the workshops to repair them.
A landship is hard to stop and harder to turn, and accidents can be deadly. Breakdowns far from help leave crews stranded, and the cargo they carry makes them a tempting target for raiders.
