Mychiddian (Myconid)
The Mychiddians are the mushroom-folk of Vitaea, an Earthborn heritage whose small communities live in caves, ravines and dark grottoes across the world. Other peoples tend to find them mysterious but mostly harmless. Like the other beastfolk, they descend from the True Sylvari and emerged in the Great Awakening some 40,000 years ago.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”A Mychiddian is about three feet tall and weighs roughly 50 pounds. They are hairless, colored in browns, greens, greys and blacks, and many glow faintly in the dark. They perceive their surroundings through blindsight out to about 30 feet.
Society and Culture
Section titled “Society and Culture”What sets the Mychiddians apart is connection. Their communities are linked across great distances by a mycelial network, and they communicate with spores: some build rapport, some calm, and some carry a warning.
Homeland
Section titled “Homeland”No single region claims them. Wherever the ground is damp and the light is low, a colony may be found.
