Animus, Kar'Ondrys' Domain
Animus is the Divine Plane of hate. Surveys of the cosmos describe it as a plane of pure life force, standing for vitality and raw energy, which suggests a realm driven by feeling at its most intense rather than by calm. Like the other Divine Planes, it is known only through the Godspact and the dreams of mortals.
Patron
Section titled “Patron”The domain belongs to Kar’Ondrys the Blackheart, the Prime Deity of Hate. Three Divines dwell there under the Blackheart: Xharaden the Masochist, who holds sway over pain, Gar’Kogan the Burningheart over wrath and Dezenkyr the Murderer over murder.
Landscape
Section titled “Landscape”The few accounts that exist speak of a restless place, hot and loud, where the ground itself seems to pulse with anger.
Inhabitants
Section titled “Inhabitants”Nothing reliable is recorded of who else lives in Animus. Dreamers tell of shapes that feed on grudges and of voices that repeat old insults.
Glimpses by Mortals
Section titled “Glimpses by Mortals”Worshippers of The Church of Ruinous Powers approach Kar’Ondrys for opposite reasons: some to appease the god and hold that influence back, others to turn the god’s power on their enemies. Raveni calendars mark Blackheart’s Bargain in the god’s honor, remembering Kar’Ondrys as a shadow broker and tempter.
