Gran-Gola (Goliath)

The Gran-Gola are the goliaths of Aradaea, a mixed heritage of humans and giantkin. They descend from both the Gran-Stona and Aradaea’s true humans, and have been a people of their own for some 100,000 years.

Goliaths stand around seven and a half feet tall and weigh about 350 pounds. Their skin runs to lighter tones and they are hairless. They are natural athletes, hardened to cold and high places.

Goliaths live in nomadic bands that prize strength above almost everything else, and settled folk know them for raiding. In Sylvaria, goliath tribes share the Vargal valley with Grekkin and ogres, while in the Koen-Gath valley the Volgath, a vampiric goliath clan, rules over human villages.

Their home region is Sylvaria. Goliaths are also among the half-giant folk of Stelvast, living under the rule of giants.

A goliath lives around 150 years.

They are kin to the other Gran heritages through the stone giants, and live closely with the Gran-Grek in Vargal. Most speak Giant and Aethyrian Common.

A goliath whose Aethyr Knot ignites brings a band’s test of strength into a life bound to the Aethyrweave.
