The Order of the Martial Forces
The Order of the Martial Forces honors the powers of war and force in Geminaea. Its followers are often warriors and soldiers who seek the favor of the gods to bring them fortune in battle.
Deities Venerated
Section titled “Deities Venerated”The patron of the Order is Abrysses the Warrior, Prime Deity of War, whose realm is Battle, Abrysses’ Domain. The Divines who serve under Abrysses are:
- Zhy’Venis the Warmonger, of Weapons
- Timethedryn the Champion, of Battle
- Lesandrys the General, of Strategy
- Brokendra the Sadist, of Violence
Tenets
Section titled “Tenets”The Order holds that conflict is part of the world, and that those who fight should do so with skill and resolve. Followers draw different lessons from this. Some honor the discipline of the general or the courage of the champion, while others revel in violence for its own sake.
Clergy and Rites
Section titled “Clergy and Rites”Clergy of the Order serve alongside armies, mercenary companies and city guards. They bless weapons and soldiers before battle, honor the fallen afterward, and oversee training, contests and oaths of service.
Holy Sites
Section titled “Holy Sites”Shrines to the Martial Forces are found in barracks, fortresses and training grounds, and on old battlefields where the dead are remembered.
