Raveni Shuttles
Raveni Shuttles are the vessels that carry travelers and goods between Ravena and the twin planets, Aradaea and Vitaea. Their invention bound the three celestial bodies into a single political and economic sphere, and they remain the backbone of interplanetary transport in Geminaea.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”According to the history of Vitaea, the shuttles are powered by Aethyr Polar Elasticity, drawing on the polar-reactive Aethyr that resonates through Ravena itself. Travel is easiest from certain latitudes, so shuttle terminals cluster where conditions are best.
Common Uses
Section titled “Common Uses”Shuttles carry merchants, diplomats, scholars, pilgrims and migrants, along with the freight that keeps Raveni markets supplied. The planetary ports they serve have drawn large populations, as people on both worlds settled closer to the routes to the moon.
Availability
Section titled “Availability”Terminals are found where the latitude favors shuttle travel; which regions host them is yet to be described. For travelers far from one, reaching a terminal can be a long journey in itself.
Whoever controls a shuttle terminal controls a share of trade between worlds, which makes terminals valuable and contested. Ravena’s laws treat tampering with the city’s transit infrastructure as one of the gravest crimes.
