Gran-Haku (Hill Giant)

The Gran-Haku are the hill giants of Aradaea. They descend from the Gran-Maku, from whom magic set them apart some 80,000 years ago, making them one of the younger branches of the Gran.

Hill giants are smaller than their mountain forebears but still huge, standing around twelve and a half feet tall and weighing some 2,000 pounds. Their skin runs to lighter tones, and their straight hair is brown or black, though many are hairless.

Little is recorded of hill giant customs. Like the other giants of the Vargal valley, they live in a land where tribes and clans of many heritages compete for room and resources.

Their home is Vargal, a valley of Sylvaria. Hill giants feel tremors through the ground out to about 60 feet.

A hill giant can live around 250 years.

Their closest kin are the mountain giants, and beyond them the Gran-Stona from whom the mountain giants came. They share the valley with the Gran-Gola and Gran-Grek, both also of stone giant descent.
