Elden (Elves)

Elden-Haea (High Elves)

Elden-Draku (Wood Elf)

Elden-Droki (Dark Elves)

Elden-Haku (Half-Elves)

Elden-Eladen (Eladrin)

The Elden are the elves of Aradaea. They descend from the Haku-Elda, the proto-elves who branched from Aradaea’s first humans, and the oldest surviving line is the Eladen of Sylvaria, some 100,000 years old. The other branches split from the Eladen later, each shaped by the region its ancestors settled, by magic and, for some, by diet.

Elves of every branch live around 500 years, with the exception of the half-elves, whose mixed ancestry gives them closer to 150. Elden are often counted among Aradaea’s noblest peoples, and they are known for intricate, wind-swept cities carved into the faces of cliffs.

A further branch, the Elden-Saea or sea elves, keeps to small, hidden communities beneath the waters around Greymist Isle.

  • Elden-Haea (High Elves): an aristocratic people devoted to arcane magic.
  • Elden-Draku (Wood Elves): tribal elves whose magic is druidic, rooted in Aetha’Lora.
  • Elden-Droki (Dark Elves): matriarchal elves of the Underdark.
  • Elden-Haku (Half-Elves): people of mixed elven and human ancestry, from any of the elven and human lines.
  • Elden-Eladen (Eladrin): elves tied to the four seasons of the Feywild.
