Minos

The Minos are the ox-folk of Vitaea, a Landborn heritage of scattered families. Like several other peoples of the plains, they live in a mixed society of semi-nomadic tribes led by one of the great Khans of the Plain. They descend from the True Sylvari and gained sapience in the Great Awakening, some 40,000 years ago.

A Minos stands about seven and a half feet tall and weighs around 350 pounds. Their bodies are furred, they walk on hooves, and heavy horns crown the head.

The Minos carry an imposing presence that serves them well in councils and in conflict alike. They have a remarkable memory for routes and passages, and are said rarely to lose their way.

Their home region is Terkon, the steppe country of Xodai.

A Minos lives around 100 years.

Most speak Aethyrian Common, Tarkin and Minos. They share the khans’ rule with the Loxodon, Quillbren and Rhoken, and compete with bands such as the Gnolls.

When a Minos’s Aethyr Knot ignites, their force of personality goes with them into a life bound to the Aethyrweave, along with the chance of revival that only Aethyrsparked souls have.
