Vitaea is the lush twin among Geminaea’s planets, a world of jungles, great rivers, high mountains and wide coastal waters. The civilizations listed above are its major peoples and powers. Most trace their origins to the Great Awakening, when the Sylvari raised many kinds of beastfolk to sapience, and many remain largely made up of a single people, which keeps old rivalries alive.

Vitaea’s civilizations are spread across the continents of Akaras, Izora and Xodai. Xodai holds many of the oldest powers, including Zarriel, Dragar, Kazaru and Ilo’Avra. Machasa, Tiscana, Azorea and Ambasa lie in Izora, and Eko’Avra lies in the southern archipelago of Akaras. The Regions of Vitaea cover the lands themselves.

Several of these powers have held prominence since the age of discovery. The realms of Dragar were united under the guidance of true dragons and became known for diplomacy and their skill with natural Aethyr. Kazaru, the Empire of the Sun, is a disciplined lizardfolk realm devoted to the Great Plan. The falcon-folk of Zarriel rule the skies and the flightless ravenfolk beneath them, and the clans of Terkon roam the grassy steppes as herders and monastics.

Leaders from Dragar, Kazaru and Zarriel helped forge Ravena, and Vitaean powers fought hard in the War of the Moon. Since the Guildpact, most of the planet’s rulers have favored cautious diplomacy, though some remain wary of Ravena’s influence. The History of Vitaea tells the fuller story.
