Gran-Stona (Stone Giant)

The Gran-Stona are the stone giants of Aradaea, one of the Gran heritages descended from the Gran-Tita. Like their storm, cloud, fire and frost cousins, they were set apart from the titans by magic, and their line is some 200,000 years old.

Stone giants stand around 16 feet tall and weigh about 5,000 pounds. Their skin comes in greys, whites, blacks and reds, often with the look of the rock itself, and their hair is described as gemmed, glinting as if set with stones.

The Gran-Stona make their home in Vargal. The Vargal Valley, described on the Sylvaria page, is shared by tribes of trollkin, orcs and goblins and by clans of ogres and goliaths. Stone giants feel movement through the ground out to about 60 feet.

A stone giant can expect to live around a thousand years.

Few giant lines have branched as widely. The goliaths, firbolgs, mountain giants, ettins and ogres all count stone giants among their ancestors, sometimes alongside other lines, and the mountain giants share their home in Vargal. Their titan-born cousins, the storm giants among them, live in Vogdu under the Giant Ordning. Stone giants are not a playable heritage.
