Gran-Doda (Ettin)

The Gran-Doda are the ettins of Aradaea, a giant heritage with two lines of ancestry: the Gran-Stona and the Haku-Greka, the proto-orcs. Magic brought the two together and set the ettins apart some 50,000 years ago, making them one of the youngest Gran heritages.

Ettins are huge, standing around 10 feet tall and weighing some 2,000 pounds. Their skin runs to lighter tones and they are hairless.

Little is recorded of ettin customs. They live far from the ordered valley of Vogdu, in harsh country where survival comes before ceremony.

Their home is the Blackchasm Desert, a region of Maldera. Little has yet been written about it, but across arid Aradaea water sets the limits on where any people can live. Ettins feel tremors through the ground out to about 30 feet.

An ettin can live around 250 years.

Their nearest kin are the Gran-Grek, who share the same stone giant and proto-orc ancestry and the same desert home. Through the proto-orcs they are distantly related to the Grekkin, and through the stone giants to the titans and every other giant heritage.
