Gran-Elda (Firbolg)

The Gran-Elda are the firbolgs of Aradaea, a mixed heritage of elves and giantkin. They descend from both the Gran-Stona and the Haku-Elda, and have been a people of their own for some 60,000 years.

Firbolgs stand around seven and a half feet tall and weigh about 300 pounds. Their skin spans the natural range of tones, their hair is thick, woolly and curly, and their faces carry light elven features.

Firbolgs live in scattered families, often far from their neighbors, and keep a deep respect for the natural world. Many have a little nature magic, and they can make themselves understood by beasts and plants.

Their home region is Sylvaria. Firbolgs are also among the half-giant folk of Stelvast, where giants rule and much of the population lives by mercenary work and trade.

A firbolg can live around 750 years, longer than most elves.

They are kin to the other Gran heritages through the stone giants. Most speak Giant, Elvish, Sylvan and Aethyrian Common.

A firbolg whose Aethyr Knot ignites carries a hermit’s patience and a deep bond with the wild into a life bound to the Aethyrweave.
