Earthborn
The Earthborn are the Vitaean peoples of caves, tunnels and the ground beneath. Like most Vitaean heritages they rose to sapience during the Great Awakening, some 40,000 years ago, and most still live underground or in the shadowed places of the world.
Their societies differ sharply. Some are vast and tightly organized, like the hive colonies of the ant-folk of Shelloun or the tunnel networks of the rat-folk of Kavzar, while others are small and inward-looking. Lifespans are mostly short, around 50 years for many Earthborn peoples, though mole-folk can live three times as long.

- Mulvarp (Molefolk): small, insular communities of mole-folk led by a guild-like government that prizes skill and craftsmanship.
