The people of Valdesh whose names are known beyond their own communities. The main Valdesh page holds the region’s written lore.

What Is Known

No individual Elemari is named in Valdesh’s lore yet. The figures its history does remember are the four sages of the Rifttorn Covenant, who entered the largest rift beneath the southern volcanic spine at the height of the Rifttide and made accord with the primal intelligences of the elemental planes. Their names vary across regional tellings; they are commonly remembered as representatives of the emerging Fire, Water, Earth and Air affinities (see the Mythic History).

Elemari society also tends to raise up roles rather than rulers. Leadership rests with councils of consensus, and the people most likely to be known across Valdesh are those who serve in them or in its ritual offices:

• Confluence-Keepers, Rift-Wardens and Plane-Speakers, who serve the ritual roles priests fill elsewhere.
• The four regional delegates of the rotating Convergence Council.
• The rare Elemari who have gone abroad as rift engineers, planar consultants or mediators.

Notable individuals of Valdesh, past and present, are yet to be described.
