Haku (Humans)
The Haku are the humans of Aradaea, and in a sense the root of nearly every Aradaean people. The first humans of the planet evolved from ancient ape-like creatures through both natural and magical forces, and over hundreds of thousands of years their descendants branched into the proto-races that would become the elves, orcs, dwarves and giants. Those who remained human became the many nations of Aradaea’s true humans.
Most human peoples took their character from the regions they settled, and a typical human lives around a century. A few lines were changed by magic instead: the Vedalken, suffused with magic, live far longer, while the Haku-Tiefa, or tieflings of the Scorchedlands, are competitive tribes marked by ancestral ties to infernal and abyssal entities.
Other human peoples include the Noskans of Noska, who live in tribes.
