Welcome to Geminaea: The Twinned Realm
Section titled “Welcome to Geminaea: The Twinned Realm”A World of Aethyr and Evolution

Geminaea is a fantasy universe of magical evolution where mortal belief is the loom that weaves the tapestry of existence. At its narrative center, Geminaea is a celestial system of two fate-bound planets orbiting a shared nexus moon. It is an Aethyrpunk world of moral complexity that’s been created via curation and adaption of it creators’ favorite fantasy worlds and stories.
Geminaea’s twinned planets are Aradaea & Vitaea which orbit Ravena, a mortal-made ‘moon’ which anchors the two planets in each others’ skies. Many millennia ago, these planets and their moon composed a single planet known as Terra by its inhabitants but a catastrophic cataclysm born from conflicting mortal belief tore the world asunder. Since then the two planets have been reborn from the planetary rubble of their fallen celestial ancestor and mortal life has long since started anew. Now only the Divines are aware of the realm’s true origins — a closely guarded secret kept to safeguard mortal-kind from the ruin they once faced.
A Tale of Two Worlds
Section titled “A Tale of Two Worlds”Aradaea: The Arid Twin
Section titled “Aradaea: The Arid Twin”Aradaea is a world shaped by the relentless sun and harsh winds, where life has adapted to survive in its arid embrace. The ancestors of this land’s diverse peoples, from the noble Elden (Elves) to the fierce Grekkin (Orcs, Goblins), trace their lineage back to the Haku-Prota, the first humans who evolved from ancient, ape-like creatures through both natural and magical forces.
Today, Aradaea stands as a testament to resilience, home to many races who have carved out their place in the unforgiving landscape. It is a land of ancient secrets and new alliances, where every step forward is hard-won.

Vitaea: The Wild Twin
Section titled “Vitaea: The Wild Twin”In contrast, Vitaea is a planet of lush forests, fertile plains, and abundant life. Here, the Sylvar — dryad-like beings born from the great Yggdrana, the World Tree — have nurtured the land since its rebirth after The Rending. Through their care, the planet’s wild creatures were awakened to sapience in an event known as the Great Awakening.
Vitaea is a world of harmony, where the Sylvar’s influence is evident in every leaf and branch, and where the Animalfolk thrive — from the cunning Skettan (Ratfolk) to the soaring Aaraki (Aarakocra). Yet, beneath the surface of this serene world lies a history of sacrifice and the weight of its ancient guardianship.

A Shattered Past and a Shared Future
Section titled “A Shattered Past and a Shared Future”The Rending and the Birth of Ravena
Section titled “The Rending and the Birth of Ravena”Long ago, Aradaea and Vitaea were one — a mighty world known as Terra. But a cataclysm born of conflicting mortal beliefs tore the world asunder in an event called The Rending. The once-great planet was shattered into two, and from the chaos of Terra’s demise, Aradaea and Vitaea were reborn from the ruin.
Over hundreds of thousands of years, life on these twin planets evolved independently, with each world developing its own unique ecosystems, cultures, and sapient beings. The two planets, though orbiting a common path, were unaware of each other’s existence, believing themselves to be alone in the cosmos. It was only after eons of evolution and discovery that the mortals of Aradaea and Vitaea grew advanced enough to understand their celestial connection.
As their understanding of the Aethyrweave deepened, so too did their awareness of the impending threat posed by the gravitational pull between their worlds. In a desperate bid to prevent a catastrophic collision, the sapient races of both planets came together to create Ravena, a moon forged from the remnants of their shattered ancestor. Thus, Ravena was born in a sky-shattering explosion of Aethyr energy, halting the planets’ approach and forever altering the fate of Geminaea.
Ravena’s creation was not without consequence. As its magical potential became apparent, the races of Aradaea and Vitaea were drawn into a desperate struggle for control over the new moon’s resources. This conflict, known as the War of the Moon, saw the peoples of both planets clash in a century-long battle that nearly unraveled the very stability Ravena had been created to ensure.
The war was finally brought to an end not by sheer force, but by a coalition of visionaries from both planets who recognized the imminent danger to all of Geminaea. This coalition, composed of races across Aradaea and Vitaea, brokered the Treaty of the Guildpact, a historic agreement that established Ravena as neutral ground, governed by a confederacy of guilds representing all of Geminaea’s peoples.
The Lunar Era: A New Dawn
Section titled “The Lunar Era: A New Dawn”Now, over 2,000 years have passed since the signing of the Guildpact. Ravena has grown into a thriving megalopolis, a hub of commerce, culture, and innovation that connects the two planets more closely than ever before. The influence of this nexus moon has drawn the people of Aradaea and Vitaea to settle near the planetary ports, creating new opportunities and challenges as the world becomes increasingly interconnected.
Geminaea stands at the dawn of a new era, where the legacy of past conflicts and the promise of new discoveries shape the future. Whether in the arid deserts of Aradaea, the verdant forests of Vitaea, or the bustling streets of Ravena, the story of Geminaea is one of evolution, adaptation, and the unending quest for balance in a world forged by belief.
Summary
Section titled “Summary”Celestial Structure: Geminaea is a system of two planets, Aradaea and Vitaea, orbiting a shared moon, Ravena. The planets were once a single world called Terra, but a cataclysmic event known as “The Rending” split them apart.
Theme and Setting: The world is described as “Aethyrpunk,” a blend of magical and technological elements with a focus on moral complexity. Mortal belief plays a central role in the creation and evolution of the universe.
Planetary Characteristics:
- Aradaea: A dry, arid planet inhabited by diverse races like the Elden (Elves), Grekkin (Orcs, Goblins), Dwek (Dwarves), and others. Its inhabitants trace their lineage back to the Haku-Prota, the planet’s first humans.
- Vitaea: A fertile, wet planet where life was cultivated by the Sylvar, a dryad-like race. The Sylvar played a key role in the Great Awakening, which granted sapience to various Animalfolk.
