Vitaean Heritages
The Vitaean heritages are the peoples of Vitaea, the lush and wild twin of Geminaea. Apart from the Sylvari, who have tended the planet since its rebirth, nearly all of them trace their origins to the Great Awakening, when the Sylvari guided much of Vitaea’s wildlife to sapience and humanoid form. Most of these peoples have existed for around 40,000 years.
Unlike the peoples of Aradaea, who share a common human ancestry, the Vitaean heritages come from very different animal lineages. Their early history was a hard struggle for survival in which some peoples flourished and others vanished. Today they range from nomadic tribes and hidden villages to empires, hegemonies and confederations, and leaders from Dragar, Kazaru and Zarriel joined Aradaean peoples in forging Ravena.
The Vitaean heritages are grouped by the realm their ancestors came from: the land, the sea, the sky or the earth beneath.
