The Godspact

Preamble: We, the Phoenix Chryseum, wielders of the Stones of Creation and stewards of Geminaea’s renewal, present anew a system of cosmic balance. A structure of reformation and diffusion of divine power, dispersing it across the tapestry of existence to safeguard mortal freedom, autonomy, and flourishing.

It remains our solemn duty to acknowledge the gravity and far-reaching consequence inherent to this pact’s renewal; to grasp fully the enduring imprint our choices leave upon the fate of Geminaea and all its denizens, now and evermore.

We stand here, as mortals of myriad origins and united purpose, acknowledging both the distinct paths which have led us here and the shared dreams which bind our visions. We have seen worlds broken by the cycles of unbridled power, suffered beneath the dominion of divine ambition, and witnessed the relentless repetition of history’s tragedies.

In drafting this pact, we seek to establish an enduring balance that does not suppress but rather embraces the inherent chaos, disparity, and creative potential of mortal existence. We endeavor not to erase the struggles intrinsic to mortal life but to protect the right of all beings to forge their own meaning and purpose without celestial interference.

We celebrate Geminaea’s vibrant diversity and, through this renewed pact, pledge ourselves to ensuring a future shaped not by our personal designs, but by the collective and independent wills of those who will walk these lands long after we depart.

Thus, the laws and principles herein established shall pertain exclusively to the dispersion and balance of the forces of divine power, belief, and reality, explicitly abstaining from dictating the nature of mortal existence or determining the shape of mortal destinies.

The sole exception to this promise concerns the guardianship of mortal free will and autonomy. It is the unwavering principle of this renewed pact that no being—mortal or divine—shall usurp or compromise the fundamental right of mortal self-determination. The sanctions enacted by this pact shall safeguard against any entity that would subjugate mortals to cosmic tyranny, ensuring forevermore that the realm of mortals remains unbound, diverse, and resilient in the face of eternity.

1. Purpose and Intent

The ultimate goal of this renewed Godspact is to ensure the autonomy, freedom, and self-determination of all mortal beings, dissolving the traditional divide between mortals and divinity, and redistributing divine power evenly among all individuals. While divinity may still arise from mortal belief, it will manifest not as external entities who reign over mortals, but as internalized power derived directly from each mortal’s individual beliefs, values, and actions.

This pact explicitly renounces the existence of divinity as hierarchical beings who walk among mortals, dominating through power or influence. Instead, it affirms the sanctity of mortal agency, preventing any one belief or deity from suppressing others or disrupting the inherent balance required for free and prosperous mortal existence.

Recognizing that we, the Phoenix Chryseum, hold power of unprecedented magnitude through our wielding of the Stones of Creation, we commit ourselves fully to relinquishing our dominion and dispersing this power into the fabric of Geminaea itself. In doing so, we reject the temptation of enduring divine rule, choosing instead to embed these powerful forces within the very essence of mortal life, empowering all beings equally and irrevocably.

The Eldaari and Wataari, once created by the ancient Otaan to maintain the prior Godspact, shall be offered the choice to integrate fully into mortal society, or continue serving as emissaries who safeguard the principles of autonomy, balance, and self-determination within this renewed order. Their continued role shall not be to mediate between mortals and divinity, but rather to guide, educate, and ensure the stability of the mortal realm by embodying the ideals set forth by this pact.

Henceforth, no force—mortal or divine—shall impose its will upon mortals, nor deny them their inherent right to shape their destinies. The world that arises from this pact shall be one of perpetual balance and opportunity, forever shielded from the cycles of cataclysm, dominion, and divine upheaval that have plagued existence since its dawn.

2. Structure and Hierarchy

The Prime Domains of Existence, initially established by the Mortal Otaan, shall remain to represent the essential aspects of mortal experience, as expressed across the varied beliefs of Geminaea. These domains stand not as authoritative divine entities, but rather as pillars of mortal understanding, manifestations of shared values, ideals, and experiences. Each domain evolves freely, shaped exclusively by the collective consciousness and individual beliefs of mortals, rather than through external divine oversight.

In this new order, divinity no longer exists as external gods or beings who actively influence mortal lives. Instead, divine power is woven into the very essence of mortal existence, residing equally within each individual. Mortals may channel this inherent divinity through their beliefs, ideals, and actions, directly manifesting the values represented by the Prime Domains.

To maintain balance, prevent domination, and preserve autonomy, no domain or belief shall inherently outweigh another. Each mortal is free to align with and express any combination of these domains, finding personal meaning and power through self-determined devotion.

The Prime Domains of Existence remain: Balance, Destruction, Anarchy, Hate, Creation, Death, Magic, Desire, Luck, Nature, War, Life, Peace, Order, Love, Light, Shadow, Knowledge, and Change.

Gone are the hierarchies and intermediaries of divinity—the Archons, Seraphim, Guardians, and traditional Gods. In their stead, the Eldaari and Wataari may, by their own choice, continue to serve as guides and emissaries of understanding, assisting mortals in navigating and comprehending their own innate divinity, without exerting direct influence or hierarchical power.

Thus, divine power shall never again manifest as oppressive or hierarchical forces upon mortals, but as individual empowerment, understanding, and self-realization.

The Structure of Divine Domains and Mortal Empowerment

In recognition of the renewal and dispersal of divine power among all mortals, the hierarchical structure of divinity is hereby dissolved. Instead, the Prime Domains serve as focal points and reflections of mortal beliefs and ideals. The existence and manifestation of divinity shall henceforth reside within every mortal, individually and collectively, as an intrinsic aspect of their nature.

  • Prime Domains: Exist purely as conceptual structures, shaped continuously by mortal belief, representing fundamental aspects of mortal experience. They no longer have hierarchical divine beings to govern them. Rather, each mortal is inherently empowered to channel and embody the domains they align with through their own beliefs and actions. Should the boundless imaginations of mortality form domains beyond the current conception of this pact, this concept shall be re-conceived.
  • The Arbiters (Eldaari and Wataari): Previously custodians bound eternally to maintain the divine-mortal divide, the Eldaari and Wataari shall henceforth exist by their own free choice. They may choose to serve as emissaries, guides, or sages, aiding mortals in understanding their own inherent divinity, wisdom, and connection to the Prime Domains. They hold no inherent authority or hierarchical role but stand as equal participants within the broader tapestry of existence.
  • Guardianship and Knowledge: Mortals who gain profound insight into the relationship between belief, reality, and divinity shall no longer be compelled into guardianship. Instead, they bear only the moral responsibility to use such knowledge wisely, guided by their conscience and the common good.
  • The Keeper: With the dissolution of divine hierarchy, the role of The Keeper, as the guiding entity originally embodied by Ola’Vandyr, is respectfully retired. The memory of Ola’Vandyr’s guidance shall endure as wisdom among mortals, passed freely through history, art, and legend, inspiring future generations to live in harmony with the world and themselves.

Henceforth, all mortals shall directly engage with divinity through their personal beliefs, values, and actions, empowered equally to shape their world and its future without the mediation of divine hierarchies or the constraints of imposed servitude.

The Fragments of Creation, having served their purpose in reshaping Geminaea, shall henceforth cease to be singular instruments of cataclysmic change or sources of concentrated power. Instead, their power shall be dispersed throughout the weave of reality itself, empowering all mortals equally and binding the foundations of existence into perpetual harmony and stability.

  • Dispersal of the Fragments:
    • Each of the Fragments—Mind, Soul, Power, Reality, Space, Time, and Balance—shall be unbound from singular wielders and integrated permanently within the fundamental nature of Geminaea. Their energies shall suffuse the fabric of reality, strengthening the innate magical essence (Aethyrflame) within every living being. Thus, the profound capabilities once held by few shall become the birthright of all mortals equally.
  • Stabilizing the Realm:
    • The Fragments shall serve eternally as pillars of equilibrium, securing the celestial order and preventing future cataclysm or divine imbalance. Their dispersion shall reinforce the weave of existence and create resilience against manipulation or misuse, safeguarding mortals from overwhelming external and internal threats alike.
  • Mortal Potential:
    • With the diffusion of the Fragments’ energies, every mortal possesses the potential to shape their reality through personal belief, intention, and action. Divine magic, previously channeled through gods and intermediaries, shall now manifest through the individual, cultivated through personal dedication, conviction, and harmonious interaction with the weave of existence.
  • Future Stewardship:
    • Should the integrity of existence ever be profoundly threatened again, mortals of sufficient wisdom, strength, and unity may uncover deeper truths and harness their collective power to guide their world. Such actions should always be undertaken with awareness of the history and purpose of this pact, informed by wisdom and caution.

In this renewed order, the immense power of the Fragments of Creation shall no longer be sequestered or hidden. Instead, it shall flow openly and freely, accessible equally to all mortals who live in accordance with the balance, free will, and harmony envisioned in this pact.

The era of the singular Divine Truth, a closely guarded revelation bound by secrecy and enforced through punishment, has concluded. No longer shall the understanding of divinity and reality be restricted or obscured, nor shall mortals be judged or penalized for glimpsing the deeper truths of existence.

Universal Truth:

Henceforth, the nature of divinity and the weave of reality shall be accessible to all mortals through their own personal insight, experience, and introspection. The power previously derived through intermediaries—such as gods or guardians—shall be equally dispersed among all mortals, accessible through their individual beliefs, philosophies, and moral or spiritual paths.

Guardianship of Understanding:

Those mortals who, through their own volition, deeply pursue understanding of the weave, divinity, and the balance of existence may choose to serve as voluntary custodians of harmony. This role carries no enforced duty nor imposed burden; it is instead a mantle willingly embraced by those who wish to share, guide, and preserve wisdom for future generations.

Boundaries of Revelation:

No mortal shall henceforth be punished, nulled, or harmed for their knowledge or beliefs regarding divinity or reality. Instead, mortals are encouraged to cultivate personal and collective enlightenment, respecting the myriad truths found in the diversity of their experiences and interpretations. It is recognized that the sharing and discourse of such insights strengthens rather than weakens the fabric of Geminaea.

In the reforging of this Godspact, we, the Phoenix Chryseum, affirm the enduring significance and weight of this sacred covenant. It stands as the cornerstone of harmony between the diverse wills, beliefs, and realities of mortal existence, reshaped with deep reverence for life, freedom, and balance within Geminaea.

This pact embodies our shared vision of a world where mortals hold their destiny firmly in their own grasp, free from domination by forces beyond their control. It represents our steadfast determination to break the cycle of destruction and rebirth that has long afflicted this realm, to temper divinity, and to ensure mortal independence remains paramount.

Through this renewed covenant, we establish a new order—one that honors mortal self-determination and the sovereignty of individual belief, while responsibly guiding the powers of creation to strengthen and stabilize the weave of existence itself.

In pursuit of this purpose, we commit ourselves wholly, each according to our chosen paths:

  • Lethos, steward of time, will serve as guide and educator, bridging the wisdom of the past with the aspirations of future generations.
  • Quell, timeless and ephemeral, will weave the threads of reality, remaining a neutral, eternal conduit of the weave’s power and potential.
  • X, sentinel and guardian, will await patiently, a dormant force ready to awaken should the world again require intervention and balance.
  • Ashe, keeper of stories, will walk among mortals, sharing the history of what has been, that Geminaea might learn, remember, and choose their path wisely.
  • Theseus, embracing impermanence, willingly returns his essence to the weave, content to fade quietly from mortal remembrance, having fulfilled his purpose.
  • Xee, vigilant curator of equilibrium, shall preside watchfully over the newly woven web of balance, organizing the Arbiters who wish to continue their sacred service as Guardians of Understanding.
  • Eos, born from divine thought yet longing for true mortality, shall relinquish divine memory and power to be reborn mortal, free to experience the breadth of life’s uncertainties, joys, and sorrows, in this lifetime and perhaps countless others.

Through the careful and considered dispersal of the Stones of Creation, we bind their power into the very essence of Geminaea itself, reinforcing the weave, empowering mortals directly, and closing the chapter on their potential for catastrophe. The Stones shall no longer stand as instruments of unbridled power, but as foundational pillars of stability, creativity, and harmony throughout the realm.

This Godspact shall stand as a testament to our collective hope, our belief in mortal resilience, and our trust in the diversity of truths and dreams that flourish among Geminaea’s people. We entrust this renewed covenant to the care of future generations, confident that they will uphold, adapt, and improve upon this vision, free from the shadows of the past.

By our united will, forged through friendship, hardship, sacrifice, and triumph, we, the Phoenix Chryseum, affirm this Godspact anew, securing a future where mortals may thrive in freedom, balance, and the boundless possibility of creation itself.

Preamble: We the Otaan, last mortals of Terra, now sundered, present a system of divine balance. A structure of classification and allocation of the force of divinity to balance its volatile impact and its potential for un-revocable change.

It is our burden and duty to recognize the hubris and severity of this pact’s endeavor; and to understand and appreciate the everlasting impact this pact shall have on the future of all known existence.

We are a people of many differences and many commonalities. A people who have changed through time but are anchored in our shared past. As the final mortals of this once-vibrant world, we cherish life’s diversity and mourn its loss.

In the writing of this pact, we seek to establish an order which prevents the destruction and annihilation we’ve lived and witnessed in our lives.

We celebrate the vibrancy we have discovered across our diverse world and in this pact we commit to preserving the possibility of future’s evolution without bearing the mark of the Otaan hand.

As such, all laws established by this pact shall pertain only to the balancing of the forces of belief and reality and shall not dictate any other aspect of existence or mortal determination.

The only exception to this promise pertains to the sanctity of the Divine Truth. It is our resolute belief, and the founding principle of this pact that no mortal existing outside of service to the Divine Balance shall come to know of the relationship between belief and reality. The sanctions forged by this pact shall ensure this lest its fabric unravel and the realm of mortals return to one dominated by conflicting belief that brought us to the brink of oblivion without return.

1. Purpose and Intent:

The ultimate goal of the Godspact is to separate the realm of the divines from the realm of mortals while maintaining the existence of the gods as entities formed by mortal thought and belief with the ability to shape and change the world. It explicitly avoids fostering any specific relationship between mortals and their beliefs, firmly believing in mortal self-determination but placing limits to prevent opposing beliefs from manifesting as violently opposed deities who walk among mortals.

The Otaan, after writing the Godspact from the blood of their God, Ola’Vandyr, shall split their souls and beings in two. Their bodies will become a new race known as the Wataari and their minds a new race known as the Eldaari. These peoples, descendants of the Otaan, will be known collectively as the Arbiters and shall serve eternally as custodians of the Godspact. Since the Divines are restricted from the mortal realm by the Divine Divide, the Eldaari shall connect mortal thought and belief to the Divnity, enabling them to shift and adapt according to the collective thoughts of mortals. The Wataari shall connect the will of the gods back to the mortal realm by performing and enacting their will to bring the divine influence into the lives of mortals and shape the fate of Geminaea.

2. Structure and Hierarchy:

The Prime Domains were established by the Mortal Otaan who debated and created the Godspact. They formed the domains of divinity to represent the various aspects of mortal existence that they had observed as common across the various faiths of Terra before the War ended the world. Their goal was to define the domains, but not the nature of the domain itself, which would be determined by the belief of mortals. The structure of the Divine Domains enables new divine beings to merge with existing divine entities within their domain, causing the domain to evolve and adapt with new mortal belief.

Divine Beings manifest their influence within their domains without directly impacting mortals through the Archons, who can speak directly to mortals through spiritual connection, dreams, visions, epiphanies, and the like. They can also cause magical effects to take place throughout Geminaea through the power of the Space stone.

The Prime Domains of Existence are: Balance, Destruction, Anarchy, Hate, Creation, Death, Magic, Desire, Luck, Nature, War, Life, Peace, Order, Love, Light, Shadow, Knowledge, and Change.

The Structure of the Divine Domains shall be defined as follows: Divinity

  • Gods represent all of the mortal interpretations, understandings, and belief of the domain of existence that defines them.
  • All divine beings shall, by definition, exist within the structure of the Hierarchy of the Heavens.
    • Prime Deities: Gods with dominion over one of the Pure Realms and authority over one of the Prime Domains (one of the fundamental pillars of existence within Otaan belief.
      • These entities each represent one of the 19 Prime Domains of Existence, as established by their importance in mortal belief and understanding of reality. Prime Deities preside over all lesser Divine Beings which reside within their Divine Realm.
        • A Divine Realm is both a conceptual and literal representation of a Divine Domain. The physical manifestations of these Realms exist within Celestial Space beyond the Divine Gate. Each Domain shall remain in perpetuity though it’s composition and relative location will be an ever shifting reflection of all facets of mortal belief.
          • No mortal being shall enter the Divine Realms. Should any mortal seek to directly beseech the gods through the Divine Temple, they shall know them through the Temple’s Custodian, who may summon an avatar of a Divine Being through themselves. Should any mortal pass through the Gateway of Departure within the Temple, they shall be transported beyond the boundary of the Divine Realms instead of entering the Divine Realms. See above for the rules defining how such mortal’s relationship with this pact is changed.
    • Divines: Gods which live within one of the Pure Realms and have dominion over a portion of the realm. They possess authority over an aspect of the Prime Domain of their realm.
    • Archons: Philosophical embodiments of singular facets of one of the Prime Domains. While not true gods, they reside within and are bound to a Pure Realm and influence divinity by giving counsel, and overseeing the workings of their Deities and Divines. Archons can influence the realm of Mortals through visions, information, and guidance given to mortals as well as by sending Seraphim to enact their will within the mortal realm.
    • Seraphim: Passed mortal spirits who have aligned with one of the Pure Realms and gained favor of the gods to be elevated to the Seraphim. They populate the Pure Realms and carry out various services under the guidance of the Archons. Seraphim can influence the realm of mortals directly under the will of an Archon or higher being, but they must follow the rules of Divine Conduct while acting within the mortal realm
      • Not all mortal spirits become Seraphim and those that do not pass on to a fate determined by their belief and the belief of the mortals who remember them. See below for more on mortal souls.
    • Guardians: Still living mortals who have been allowed by the gods to understand the true nature of divinity. By understanding the divine truth, the Guardians are bound to protect the sanctity of the divine pact and to serve the Order of Ola’Vandyr within the mortal realm. Anyone who understands the Divine Truth can bestow guardianship upon another mortal by sharing the divine truth with them, binding them to the responsibility of a guardian of the divine pact and heaven’s hierarchy
    • Arbiters: The Wataari and Eldaari meter a balance as the conduit between thought and reality. The Eldaari possess the ability to know the mortal mind, see their view of reality, and understand the complexity of diverse mortal beliefs. The Wataari know what is, what has been, and what can be within the infinite potentials of reality. Through the Astral Leylines bound through the Divine Gates of Geminaea the Eldaari decipher mortal beliefs for the Gods to receive and the Wataari enact the will of the Gods within the realm. As custodians of the balance of the divine pact within the Mortal Realm, the Wataari and Eldaari are bound to operate within the confines of their station defined within the Divine Balance
    • The Keeper: The mortal soul of Ola’Vandyr, separated from mind, blood, and body in the sealing of the pact, and they whose vision of divine balance reforged the world from ruin, shall guide the Servitors to ensure balance is maintained as reality unfolds. The Keeper, guided by their mortal memories as prophet and overseer of the creation of this pact, shall raise each new generation of Wataari upon Tunarath and observe and support the evolution of the Eldaari collective mind.

3. The Fragments of Creation:

No god bound by the divine pact shall ever wield nor directly influence a fragment of creation. Should any non-mortal being come to wield a fragment of creation, the collective Seraphim and Guardians of Divinity shall crusade to wrest control of the fragment and once wrested, obscurely and secretly sequester the fragment within the realm of mortals where none but the greatest might discover it.

  • The Arbiters of the Pact shall employ the use of two fragments of creation to perform their duty in accordance with this pact. The Wataari employ the Fragment of Space to execute the will of the Divines anywhere within the Celestial System. The Eldaari employ the Mind Stone to collect the beliefs of mortals and deliver them to the Divines. No use of the fragments of creation may be employed by the Arbiters of the Pact except those expressly defined within this pact.
  • Though the existence of such an all-encompassing and all-powerful force over reality poses a threat to the permanence of this pact, we believe that we cannot legislate for all possible futures and thus cannot ensure this pact’s alignment with its true intention as the future is wrought. These stones once brought us salvation and may be needed for such again.
    • Should mortals with the capability to bear the weight of the stones come to wield them, the Servitors of the Balance shall strive to inform them of the import and impact of this pact. They shall come to know its history and its purpose so that should they use the stones to alter or forge the pact anew, they make their decisions carefully, as we, the Otaan, have strived to accomplish in its genesis.

4. The Divine Truth

No mortal may know the divine truth. Any mortal who comes to know this truth through any means except from the telling of a member Hierarchy of the Heavens shall be nulled. Their memory of learning the divine truth shall be erased via the Mind Rune and their connection to magic shall be severed and they will become incapable of weaving magic nor of conducting divine prayer. A nulled mortal’s soul is unbound by magic and remembrance — as a result, their soul will scatter to oblivion upon their death.

Any mortal given knowledge of the Divine Truth by a member of the Hierarchy of the Heavens must serve as a guardian to the divine balance. Should any mortal with knowledge of the divine truth reject the responsibility of guardianship, that mortal shall be nulled by the instruction from the Gods Collective.

5. Conclusion

In the creation of this Godspact, we, the Otaan, affirm the profound importance and permanence of this sacred covenant. It stands as the cornerstone of balance between the divine and mortal realms, crafted with the utmost reverence for the sanctity of life and the preservation of order within Geminaea.

This pact represents our collective will to prevent the recurrence of the cataclysms that once tore Terra asunder. It embodies our commitment to ensuring that the divine influences remain tempered and that the future of all known existence is protected from the volatile forces of unbridled belief.

We, the last mortals of Terra, now sundered and transformed, have dedicated our very beings to the establishment and maintenance of this Godspact. Through the creation of the Wataari and Eldaari, we have ensured that our legacy endures, and that the balance we have fought so hard to achieve is upheld across the ages.

As the final act of our mortal existence, we pledge ourselves to this eternal duty. Let this Godspact stand as a testament to our resolve, a beacon of hope for future generations, and a safeguard against the perils of unchecked divine power.

We have forged this pact with the blood of our god, Ola’Vandyr, and sealed it with our souls. Let it be known that the balance it ensures is paramount, and the principles it enshrines are inviolable. May it guide the Arbiters, the Divines, and all mortal beings toward a future where harmony prevails and the horrors of the past are never repeated.

By our collective will, and in the name of all that we hold sacred, we affirm this Godspact and entrust it to the care of those who shall follow.
