The Formation Era is the second era of the Genesis Timeline, following the Hollow Era. It lasted around 450 million years and belongs to the first Aethyr Stars: vast, radiant bodies that burned through their Aethyr quickly and died young. Scholars describe it as a violent, brilliant age in which the young universe was lit, scarred and reshaped all at once.
Major Events
Section titled “Major Events”- The first stars burn out: the massive Aethyr Stars spend their energy fast, and few last long.
- Voids and Rifts: fallen Aethyr Stars leave behind Aethyr Voids and Rifts, places where the flow of Aethyr is emptied or torn.
- A hotter universe: the energy released by dying stars heats the cosmos dramatically.
- The first galaxies: the era ends when the first Aethyr Galaxies form.
Legacy
Section titled “Legacy”The Formation Era is remembered mostly for what it left behind. Writings on Aethyr hold that the remains of the earliest stars seeded the galaxies with Aethyr, and that rifts can open where a star collapses, so some of the anomalies scattered through the cosmos may date from this age. The galaxies that close the era become the settings in which every later star, world and people takes shape. For sages, the era is an early lesson that creation and destruction arrived together.
