The Reconstruction Era is the first era of the Recovery Timeline, lasting around 1,000 years after the Rending. At its start, Ola’Vandyr and the Otaan who followed them are the only mortals left in Geminaea. By its end, the broken world has been remade as two planets, a new pantheon has been raised to watch over it, and the gods have withdrawn to their own planes.
Major Events

- A new pantheon: the survivors create a new pantheon of gods, bound together by a pact of balance.
- Two halves of a whole: the gods rebuild the world as two planets, Aradaea and Vitaea.
- Life restored: the conditions for life return, and animals are restored to the land.
- New beginnings: the Proma are recreated at their most primitive stage on Aradaea, and the Sylvari World Tree is recreated on Vitaea.
- The Divine Pact: the era ends when Ola’Vandyr seals the Divine Pact and the gods depart through the divine gate, leaving the Eldaari and Wataari to keep watch.
Legacy
Section titled “Legacy”The Reconstruction Era shapes the world as it stands today. The Godspact set down in this age still governs how mortal belief reaches the gods, and the separation between the divine and mortal realms dates from the gods’ departure at its close. Few mortals know anything of this era, since the realm’s true origins remain a closely guarded divine secret.
