The Recovery Timeline is the third of the five periods of Geminaean history. It begins after the Rending, when the Otaan survivors, led by Ola’Vandyr, rebuild the shattered world as two planets, Aradaea and Vitaea, and raise a new pantheon to guide it. It then follows life on the reborn planets from its first stirrings to the earliest civilizations, ending when their peoples begin to write their own history.

The Eras

Section titled “The Eras”
  • Reconstruction Era: the world is remade as two planets, life is restored, and the gods withdraw after the Divine Pact is sealed.
  • Regrowth Era: the Haku spread across Aradaea, and the Great Awakening brings sapience to Vitaea’s creatures.
  • Resurgence Era: the peoples of both planets build early civilizations and discover magic.

Legacy

Section titled “Legacy”

The Recovery Timeline sets the terms of the present world. The Godspact, the separation of gods and mortals, and the watch kept by the Eldaari and Wataari all date from it, as do the origins of the peoples of both planets. Since mortals of this period kept no written records, much of what is known of it survives only among the divine. Its close opens the Discovery Timeline.
