The Regrowth Era is the second era of the Recovery Timeline, following the Reconstruction Era and lasting around 300 thousand years. With the gods gone, life on the two reborn planets must find its own way. On Aradaea the restored Proma spread and adapt to a harsh land, while on Vitaea wildlife flourishes and, in time, begins to wake.
Major Events
Section titled “Major Events”- The Haku spread: the re-established primitive Proma, known as the Haku, spread across Aradaea, this time without gods walking among them.

- Vitaea flourishes: the planet’s wildlife evolves quickly and spreads in great diversity.
- The Great Awakening: over several thousand years, the Great Awakening makes many Vitaean creatures sapient and humanoid.
- The Haku adapt: Aradaea’s hard conditions change the Haku’s bodies, and they begin to adapt to their surroundings through magic.
- Settlement: the era ends when the Haku and the Awakened Vitaeans found settlements and begin farming.
Legacy
Section titled “Legacy”Most of the peoples of both planets trace their beginnings to this era. The History of Vitaea credits the Sylvari with starting the Great Awakening, after they sensed rising sapience on Aradaea and feared Vitaea would fall out of balance. Because the two worlds’ peoples arose so differently, scholars use this era to explain the contrast between them: kinship through shared ancestry on Aradaea, rivalry among unrelated species on Vitaea.
