The Annihilation Era is the third and final era of the Divergence Timeline, following the Discord Era. It is one of the shortest eras in the histories, lasting around a century, and the most destructive. The civilizations of Geminaea go to war over their differing views of the world, and the gods born of their belief go to war with them.
Major Events
Section titled “Major Events”- Wars of belief: rival civilizations fight over how the world should be understood and worshiped.
- Crueler gods: as war makes mortal life harsher, the gods shaped by mortal belief grow more warlike and cruel.
- Fallen empires: major civilizations and empires are conquered or wiped out.
- The world is cleaved: the era ends when the conflict becomes a global war and the Battle of the Beast splits Geminaea in two.
Legacy
Section titled “Legacy”The Annihilation Era ends the first world. The cataclysm that closes it is remembered as the Rending, and of all the peoples of Terra only the Otaan survive it. Everything they build afterward, from the reshaped planets to the Godspact, is designed to keep such a war from happening again. Divine-level magic of the kind unleashed in these wars has rarely been seen since.
